Whats the best audio recording app?

Hey dudes and dudettes,
I recently purchased an iPhone 4, and I was wondering what the best app for recording live shows is. Preferably a free app, but I'd be willing to shell out a few bucks in order to record my upcoming BH show in August.

ive used just the voice notes app that comes with the phone. recordings turn out ok.
if you want to spend some money, people seem to really like Fire 2.

Im tempted to buy FiRe 2. It's only 6 bucks and seems pretty pro. Has anyone here used it?
